Good morning Mama's and Papa's little bloggers. What did you all see when you look at my last blog?, was it the Rainbow coloured boat that took your attention or was it the Crayon?.
I know what many of you were thinking "Ohhhh I don't see the colours of the rainbow in her Crayons, Red, Yellow, Pink, Green etc. If you are a Nursery Manager then you need to first understand, what kind of Nursery you want to work in and the typed of parents you are attracting. There are different types of nurseries that cater for the needs of children, therefore no two parents will be the same and will teach their Babies or Toddlers in the same manner.
For example, if you are Parent that speaks fluent languages and you want your baby or toddler to learn how to begin to speak a different language, you are not going to send them to a nursery that only encourages toddlers to speak the basic English Language. Secondly, if your baby has been born with a disability you may prefer to send them to nursery where there are other disabled children, where you know there are trained specialist Nursery workers who have the patience and skill to sit with that toddler longer than an Abled Bodied baby or toddler.
Lastly, what I need all parents to think about is their babies and toddlers Periphereal vision, this is very important. I wear glasses so I understand how my vision is sometimes affected. Some parents their natural Periphereal vision is very Excellent they can see things which other parents cannot see, this is partly due to four reasons; disability, how they are educated, how they are trained and who they associate with. A parent who loves the outdoors will be more inclined to go for walks, riding a bike frequently, and play outdoor games and activities frequently with their baby and toddler instead of indoors. I think I am inbetween, I like to do both.
So before you Lift a fist ready to swing it at somebody or another parent because you see something you don't like, make sure you UNDERSTAND YOUR PERIPHEREAL VISION AND THAT OF BABIES AND TODDLERS AND NURSERY WORKERS WHO TEACH.
