The Race is on 2

Good morning Mama's and Papa's little Bloggers.

Firstly, I hope you have thought about the seven points I had mentioned yesterday and made your own mental notes. However, I am not going to embellish on none of these points because as a parent, carer, teacher, Doctor, Nurse I want to give you a little excercise instead for you to do and perhaps if you are a teacher can share this little excercise with your class.

Firstly, to note we have all done this, especially parents - walked around with a 'think we know it all attitude', Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, christians and church leaders in particular are good at this especially if lead a successful ministry we think no one can't teach us anything. If we have raised abled bodied children and have predominently abled bodied children in the ministry it is easy to think this way.

When we think about disability the age of children is the first thing we look at, secondly their ability to do things, (for example feed themselves, hold a crayon) and thirdly their mental capacity. We should always give children whether they are abled bodied or with a disability the ability to express themselves. This expression helps them to grow healthy and communicate in the right way that is acceptable.

To notes, as adults we can be so selfish when it comes to disability especailly as we get older, disability in most elderly people is prevalent so our attitude becomes more self-centred.
