To the next level but you get Egg on your face

Updated: Oct 11, 2024

Good afternoon Mama's and Papa's little bloggers.

As a parent it can be so hum drum just waking up everyday looking after the kids doing the same old chores, especially if your children are not in nursery yet. Maybe they have just started nursery and you've just started looking for a job but you want to do something wacky, wild that grabs the publics attention. Maybe your a musician, a single parent and your good at playing the piano, guitar, drums but you've just had a baby and your normal schedule has been interrupted. Maybe you can only perform at nights and you've found a regular bar to perform but running around finding a baby sitter is too expensive or too time consuming or maybe your family don't have the time to babysit.

So you keep doing odd gigs that are too sporadic which makes you feel as if 'you keep getting egg on your face', because everytime you try and break into the music scene nothing seems to work.

Maybe your choice of music is wrong so you need to branch out a little like Beverley Knight, do a little Jazz!. or gospel, Sometimes we make the wrong choices in life which causes us to receive the wrong responses.

And yes I did meet Beverley Knight on the tube shes one of my all time favourites

And maybe all we think about is "taking things to the next level" rather than maintaining a steady straight path. There are some people who seem to move upwards as tho to a next level, and once they get there they get stuck because they are always looking for someone to take them to the next level and if they can't find anyone to take them to the next level they look for someone to latch onto.

Then there are some people whose path are straight like a line on a grid and 'they are always cruising'. They don't move upwards but cruise along but when they cruise they sail with you and cover a wide cirumference like a ship which is pleasant.

Whatever you are planning next, if its a career move make sure you understand your path and what makes you happy and those around you. Don't always look for the obvious and for people who will help you "step you up to the next level", but look for people who will stick with you even when you are failing because they will encourage you. Look for cruisers who sail with you.
