Do you really Love your children

Updated: Oct 13, 2024

Good evening Mama's and Papa's little Bloggers.

As a parent do you ever tell your children I'm giving you an ultimatum, 'last word or chance'. I discovered that people who like to give ultimatums sometimes have ulterior false motives and hidden agendas. I get that often from church Brethren and I can often discern when they are hiding some kind of deception behind their ultimatum.

For example, some people and a lot of christians give ultimatums because they are after up to something?. They are like a lion! looking for an opportune to isolate you and target you deliberately because they want something.

Big Mouth Peter! tried that with Jesus when he ask Jesus "how many times shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?" Peter wanted to give people an ultimatum because he thought he was so perfect. Note what Jesus said to peter, "I do not say up to seven times but up to seventy times seven, whether that is seventy X 7 I can only assume which is equal to 490. In human reasoning this is ridiculous.

But when Jesus died on the cross and his arms where held wide open and nailed to the cross this was significant to show how much he had suffered and choose to forgive us inspite of all we had done to him. Whipped and beaten spat up, verbally and physically abused and he still forgave using and he had done nothing wrong.

Sometimes as humans and as Christians we often fool ourselves because our own words do not line up with our own Actions. If we are to be a people who walk with integrity then we need to be careful we do not give 'CHEAP' ultimatums to our own children that only show our true false motives and character.
